About Me

TWA Envy: Abigail Arunga

The relaxer days!

Z: Please introduce yourself

A: My name is Abigail Arunga. Most people call me Abi. Or, Gorgeous. Hehe. I am a writer by profession, currently Head of Development at Spielworks Media. Impressive, right? Lol. I’m 23. NOW it’s impressive, right? Lol. I also laugh at my own jokes, often.

Z: How long have you been natural?

A: I have been natural since early 2006. I have never liked hair, so I was looking for extra low maintenance…and KCSE was a good excuse as any!

Z: What’s your styling routine?

A: Styling…what? Ahem…it goes something like this: I wake up, go through my day, and sleep. Bam! Thats my styling routine.

Z: What products do you have on heavy rotation?

The only product I have on heavy rotation is my beenie hat. I use it to cover my head! As for conditioner and shampoo, mostly, something that smells nice like Alberto Balsam, or Organics* yummy* . As for hair Oil, TCB Herbal Pomade or Indian Hemp.

Z: What’s the best thing about being natural?

A: Best thing is NOTHING. As in, having to do NOTHING! lol. Waking up and just getting on with life. JOY!

Z: Your skin is also pretty gorgeous, what’s your routine?

A: For my face? Vaseline. Only. Since I was a babe…and I’m still a babe. ;o)

Z: C’mone be real!

A: I promise!

Z: What causes are you passionate about/involved in?

A: I am passionate about gay rights. People can be ridiculously ignorant. I am pro-choice. I am also interested in blogging, and of course, writing. I have a blog called Broke, Amusing and Genius, which you can check out here:-www.theShyNarcissist.blogspot.com.

Z: Anything else you want us to know about you?

A: I was vegetarian for 7 years, a long time ago when ‘self-controlled’ could still be used to describe me *hehe*. I mean it still can be…mostly! :0)

Z: Where can we catch up with you on the web?

A: Other than my blog you can catch me on Twitter (@AkelLove).
